Situation:
|
Strainer at a Korean chemical factory was insulated with traditional insulation up to the strainer valves, flanges, and couplings which could not be effectively insulated. Although the straight runs were protected, an enormous amount of energy was being lost at the uninsulated valves, flanges, and couplings.

Solution:
|
Hot Pipe Coating was applied directly to all of the irregular surfaces and fittings without any pre treatment or impediment.

Results:
|
The coated strainer realized an instant Delta T reduction of 125°C (257°F) realizing a 74% increase in retained and usable heat.
