HSC™ Coating is a combination of high performance, specially designed, medium-temperature ceramics and resins, in a waterborne, non-flammable formula. HSC™ Coating is designed to be applied by brush for applications requiring smoother surfaces over small diameters.
HSC™ Coating is designed to coat surfaces that sustain temperatures ranging between 150⁰ (66⁰C) and 350⁰F (176⁰C).
HSC™ Coating is applied while the surface is hot, which prevents downtime and lost production hours. HSC™ Coating can be applied over valves and elbows where wraps cannot be effectively applied.
HSC™ Coating prevents the loss of conductive and radiant heat from surfaces. By blocking heat loss from the interior of the surface, pipe or vessel, HSC™ Coating will increase the overall heat of the fluid or gas within a pipe or vessel.

Controls Heat Transfer
- HSC™ Coating is designed to control heat transfer for temperatures ranging between 150⁰ (66⁰C) and 350⁰F (176⁰C). It is a water-borne system using specific ceramic compounds to provide a non-conductive block against heat transfer.
- Moisture ingress into conventional insulation usually results in accelerated corrosion of the underlying steel surface which can result in structural failure of the pipe, vessel or other insulated item
- The seven ceramic compounds used in HSC™ Coating create a barrier to catch and hold heat on the surface of the unit-be it pipe, furnace, boiler, underside of roof etc. Unlike conventional insulations that use air as the insulating component, the ceramic compounds in HSC™ Coating resist absorbing heat trying to come off of the surface to escape. This traps and holds the heat onto the surface for more effective insulation performance
Resists the Development of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI)
- Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) refers to the external corrosion of piping and vessels that occurs underneath externally clad/jacketed insulation as a result of the penetration of water or absorption of moisture into insulation material
- Moisture ingress into conventional insulation usually results in accelerated corrosion of the underlying steel surface which can result in structural failure of the pipe, vessel or other insulated item
- n 2001, U.S. Congress reported the direct cost of corrosion to be $276 billion per year, with that number potentially doubling when indirect costs are also considered
Installation Without Shut –Down
- Typical insulation of pipes requires the installer to shut –down the mechanical system
- Hot Pipe Coating can be applied to hot or cold pipes ranging from 40⁰F to 350⁰F.
Condensation Control
- Typical insulation of pipes creates condensation due to their air trapping characteristics.
- HSC™ Coating is specially designed to block conductive heat and resist condensation on pipes, tanks and undersides of roofs in medium temperature situations.
Extended Life of Insulation
- Typical insulation remains effective for approximately 5-7 years due to it’s moisture wicking characteristic.
- HSC™ Coating does not absorb moisture or lose insulation value remains effective for years.
Temperature Control of Exterior of Pipes
- OSHA acceptable temperatures of accessible pipes can be obtained with a fraction of the thickness of traditional insulation.
