Facility managers and engineers throughout the country are preparing to begin the annual ritual of shoveling out their cooling towers, punching their chiller tubes, and repairing or replacing corroded or scaled HVAC pipes and valves. This begins the never ending battle against corrosion and scaling in their water systems which must be treated in some way to prevent fouling, overheating and eventual fouling without compromising microbiological controls for algae and Legionnaire's.
Protecall Sustainable Building Solutions announced a partnership with eH20 to market and service their "Chemical-Free Water Treatment System" for cooling towers and boilers in July of 2008 and the results have been outstanding.
Protecall has found that the eH20 Chemical-Free water treatment systems improves the energy efficiency of water source HVAC systems by 5%-17%, conserves 25%-50% of the water used, and eliminates the use of chemicals for water treatment.
Over the past several months Protecall has been introducing chemical free water treatment to our customers throughout the country. As with ony new technologies or paradigm shifts these presentations were received with intrigue and apprehension. Many of our customers with a "Show Me" approach to new techonology have been waiting for some hometown results before they make the move to what they know is an environmentally responsible alternative to their current chemical programs. After seversl new systems were installed the results keep coming back wtih similar outcomes. eH20 Chemical-Free water treatment systems control and reverse existing scaling and corrosion issues, chemical purchases are eliminated, less water is blown down and cycles are increased. The eH20 Chemical-Free Water Treatment System is a "Green" building system that saves energy and water, controls scale and corrosion, and eliminates the cost and usage of caustic chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
