...at NJ Recreation & Parks Show
March 1st marked the beginning of spring for many managers, administrators, and owners of public and private outdoor parks and recreational facilities. At the NJRPA Trade show in Atlantic City Regional facility managers were clamoring for innovative and new ways to address the many common and re-occurring challenges that they encounter year after year.
"It was amazing to see how similar the concerns and challenges are throughout the industry," noticed Janine Loweth.
"Controlling graffiti is a maintenance challenge in nearly every outdoor facility across all municipalities throughout the region. The only differences that we heard are the amounts and the locations."
Graffiti seems to generate a never ending yet sporadic cycle of reoccurring emergency maintenance that is disruptive to budgets and schedules, and is dangerous to the community and the facility.
Having a protective coating that graffiti cannot penetrate or adhere to is invaluable in parks and recreational facilities where taggers and gangs feel they have license to vandalize.
Protecall's non-sacrificial protective coating saves in the amount of labor, chemicals and effort required to combat graffiti and eventually discourages taggers and helps to curb gang related activities.
"Tightening budgets and cutting spending has made finding ways to repair and restore equipment and structures that would normally be replaced, an underlying theme among facility managers this year," noticed Dominick Cropanese. "Recreational facilities designed to endure the extraordinary abuse that is associated with routine use and outdoor elements and are typically replaced over time. The current economic situation is requiring managers to extend the useful life of their equipment far beyond what was expected."
Preventing rust and corrosion on steel, aluminum, concrete, wood, fiberglass was of great interest and Rust Grip® was a real show stopper. Rust Grip® is one-coat encapsulating coating thatwill seal out moisture and air with a permanent membrane that stops penetration and deterioration, blocking chemical pollutants that cause corrosion and deterioration.
